Mitsubishi cars recalled
Todd Motors, Ltd, the New Zealand distributor for the giant Japanese Mitsubishi Motor Corporation, is recalling 216 cars because of faulty fuel pumps.
This results from an announcement by Mitsubishi that it is recalling 55,000 vehicles, comprising 25,000 sold in Japan and 30,000 shipped abroad, because the petrol pumps could cause a fire risk.
The cars being recalled were produced between midJanuary and July last year. A spokesman for Todd Motors said that Todd dealers would get in touch with the owners of 168 Lancer 1600 cars and 48 Sigma 1600 cars to be rectified.
