Rep. soccer team
The first official Sunday soccer league representative side, an under 23 team, will meet the Christchurch United national youth cup team at Queen Elizabeth II Park on Anzac Day. The game will be a curtainraiser for the Rothmans Soccer League match between Trans Tours United and Newmans Nelson United. The under 23 team will also meet South Canterbury at
Timaru on Queens Birthday week-end. The squad is: John Scott, Mark Thompson, Peter Spencer. Michael Kett, Geoff Scott (Forresters), Stephen Kett, Wayne Honeybone (Gladstone), Paul Yaxley, Brian Collins (Lyttelton), Ross Batterbee, Jeff Smith (Conley and Blyth), Martin West (Atlas), Rene Paul (Music Machine), Robin McNulty (Avonhead).
