Abortion quota?
Sir. — Perhaps it is time we called a halt to this whole charade of abortion law, as it is obviously at its best a lottery, at its worst a cruel injustice to women. Why not give S.P.U.C. what it wants; no abortions in New Zealand, and everyone will be quite clear about the situation. S.P.U.C. could then work for no women of child-bearing age to travel to Australia without first undergoing a pregnancy test* — Yours, etc., JOYCE EVENDEN. April 18, 1979.
