Five Clich players in N.Z. bridge team
Five Christchurch bridge; players will be in a six-man team to play a test and four state matches in Australia next month. Three of the four players who succeeded at the Easter finals of the national contract bridge championships have represented New Zealand before, but K. G. Wholes will have his first! experience of international bridge on the tour. The other three players, R. P. Kerr, F. P. S. Lu and J. R. Wignall are all seasoned internationals. The non-playing captain will be A. J. Thompson from! Wellington, and the third pair chosen by the selectors after exhaustive study of the play over the four-day Easter finals, will be P. H. Marston (Christchurch) and G. M. Sims (Auckland). I
