Holiday hours

The T.A.B. has arranged special betting hours for race meetings on Anzac Day, when the law prohibits the opening of T.A.B. offices before 1 p.m., reports the Press Association. As some races start soon after 1 p.m., the period avail able for placing off-course bets on these early events will be limited. There will be no selling on Anzac Day on the early races at some meetings. However, T.A.B. offices will be open on the evening of Tuesday, April 24, in addition to the usual hours for that day and the usual Anzac Day selling after 1 p.m. The T.A.B has asked betters to make as much use of the pre race day selling as possible to avoid congestion on Anzac Day and the possibility of being unable to place bets »n time.
