S.A. expulsion of U.S. diplomats
Sir, — The report of South African claims that the Americans have been spying in that country will come as a shock to all but the anti-apartheid contingent throughout the brain-washed free world who will no doubt welcome their newfound friends with open arms. This abuse of South Africa’s hospitality will lower the credibility of the Carter Administration, which is already at a very low ebb. This spying exercise could have been used to better purpose by covering Communist operations in Angola, Zambia .and Mozambique where the common enemy is planning the conquest of Southern Africa. With Britain’s support of the proMarxist states of Zambia. Tanzania and others, aided and abetted by Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the Bolshevik morale must now be at its highest level, and those who believe that America will be our saving grace in the event of a Communist D Day will have another think coming. — Yours, etc.,
L. WESTNEY. April 16, 1979.
