Conflict over fire
The fire swept through a crowded Bucharest department store on Tuesday, killed three people by official count and 40 according to rescue workers. In its first report, almost 14 hours after the fire, the official Agerpres news agency said three people died and many employees and shoppers were hurt. Agepres said official investigations showed that the fire resulted from “serious negligence” by a welding team repairing a broken“lift. — Vienna.
