Mr R. G. Condliffe has been appointed deputy-man-ager for The New Zealand Insurance group at the Christchurch branch. After starting his long insurance career in Christchurch, Mr Condliffe transferred to Greymouth in 1962 as district manager for N.Z.I. and in 1969 was appointed branch manager at N.Z.l.’s Invercargill branch, where he remained until this year. Mr Condliffe has been closely associated with cricket and rugby over the years, both as a senior cricketer and senior rugby referee in Canterbury, West Coast and Southland and is currently a first-class cricket umpire on the New Zealand listings.
