Road toll reaches seven

The child, aged 18 months, iwas killed when the car in which she was a passenger struck a lamp-post in Gisborne. Her name had not been released by the police last evening. Five persons were killed in three separate road accidents on Friday. Gosai Makan Chhiba, aged North, his wife, Bhani North, his wife, Bhana Chhiba, and their grandidaughter, Keerin Patel, aged ill months, were killed when Itheir car rolled over north of Taupo. i Judith Rachel Stevens, 'aged 42, of Paremata, was killed when the car in which she was a passenger was in a head-on collision north of Wellington, and a motorcyclist, Aidan Frances Mitchell. aged 20, was killed in a collision with a car at Tej Awamutu.
