Her allegations came onlt la day after reports in newspapers that a former American Ambassador to India Mr Daniel Patrick Moynihan. ;had disclosed that the I nited States had twice financially helped Mrs Gandhis Congress Party to fight her opponents. Mr Moynihan has said in a book published recent h that once the money was given to Mrs Gandhi herself. The former Prinu Minister vehemently denied the charge as mischievous, mot ivated, and baseless.
