Rothmans bid not renewed
The Rothmans Industries, Ltd, offer to acquire the shares and convertible debentures in Cooks New Zealand Wine Company, Ltd, which was open for acceptance until April 12, 1979, will not be renewed. Discussion between Rothmans and Cooks directors have not resulted in agreement on a mutually acceptable offer price. Rothmans will advise Cooks’ shareholders and debenture holders of its assessment of Cooks directors* response to its offer within the next few days.
