Botha unpopular
Only one in five white Sduth Africans trusts the Prime Minister (Mr Pieter Botha) to lead the country, according to a newspaper opinion poll. The poll found that the politician most whites would like to see take over is the Foreign Minister (Mr Pik Botha.) The poll, commissioned by the “Sunday Times” found that after six crisis-torn months in office, the Prime Minister has the confidence of only 19.4 per cent of the country’s white — Johannesburg.
