Call for Govt contribution
PA Wellington The federated road transport organisations have called on rhe Government to continue to contribute to the National Roads Board income. Organisation representatives met the Deputy Minister of Finance (Mr Templeton) yesterday and presented their case, arguing that the Government should supply one-sixth of the board's income. In the last three years, the organisation said, the Government’s contribution to board funds had fallen from $2 IM to SI4M. It was believed that this funding would cease from April 1, 1980.
