SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN EDUCATION (Post 79/37) A vacancy exists for the position of Senior/Lecturer in the School of Education. The appointee is expected to assume major responsibility in the teaching of Science/ Mathematics curriculum courses at the diploma and degree teacher education programmes of the School, and to assist with school experience supervision, i.e. student teaching. He or she will be expected to assist in other Education courses in one of the areas of the Foundations of Education. The applicant is expected to have relevant post-graduate qualifications in either Science or Mathematics education. Relevant qualifications In one of the areas of the Foundations of Education particularly in the sociology, philosophy, Or history of education will b e advantageous. Some relevant teaching experience in both secondary and tertiary settings will be an added asset. The successful candidate is expected to assume post by July, 1979. Salary in accordance with qualifications and experience in one of the following scales: Senior Lecturer: F 511,960 • F 514,135. Lecturer: F58175-F»11,563. In addition the University provides 15 p.c. gratuity, superannuation contribution, appointment allowance, partly furnished accommodation at a maximum rental at present of 12J p.c. of salary; this is under review.
