Hollister appeal allowed
An appeal by the East Eyreton trainer, R. Asquith, against the decision of the stipendiary stewards to disqualify the horse, Hollistar. after it had finished first in the Derby Roy ale Handicap at Grey mouth on 'March 5 was allowed in Christchurch yesterThe appeal was heard by Messrs H. M. S. Dawson (chairman), H. W. Hickman, and A. j. Nicoll. . . _ _ Mr B. McClelland appeared for the Trotting Conference and Mr B. D. Kinley for Asquith and the owners of the horse, Messrs B. j. Palvetich and R. Larkin, The tribunal viewed a film of the race and heard the stipendiarv stewards, Messrs L. Purvis and N. Escott, and submissions from the two counsel. The tribunal allowed the appeal and ruled that the appeal deposit of $4O be refunded to Asquith.
