Big Gamble new favourite
NZPA Sydney The Wellington Cup holder, Big Gamble, which races as Our Big Gamble in Australia, is the new favourite for the $156,000 Sydney Cup (3200 m to be run at Rahdwick on April 21. The five-year-old Sobig gelding is being quoted at 7 to 1 following his fourth to Shivaree in the weight-for-age Tailored Stakes (2400 m The former favourite, the New Zealand entire Prancer, has yet to race in Australia but he, along with Kindled, was balloted out of the Tancred Stakes. The joint second favourites at 8 to 1 are the Melbourne Cup holder and former New Zealand gelding, Arwon, and Happy Union, which ran third in the Tancred Stakes. Further down the table.
