Big timber contracts
PA Wellington Big sales of timber, valued at more than S6OM, have been negotiated by the F.orest Service.
Announcing the new contracts, the director of the Forest Service’s marketing division (Mr B. Childs) said the sales would be carried out in the next five years for domestic contracts and three years for overseas orders. The timber would come from the Bay of Plenty forests, with 16 mills involved in the domestic sales.
