West German Rotary scholar

Sir,—Because of the Victorian attitude of Rotary over the Susanne Teipel case, I am declaring myself unavailable for the Rotarysponsored Park-to-Park fun run. There is no fun with Rotarv. —Yours, etc., ’ 808 DOCHERTY.

April 2, 1979. [Mr C. Cooper, president of the Christchurch South Rotary Club, replies: “Rotary is verv sorrv that Mr Docherty will not be available to

participate in the Park-to-Park fun run. which is totally sponsored by “The Press.” Rotary is very grateful to “The Press” as any proceeds made by its efforts are distributed to community service projects by Rotary. This year the fun run is in aid of Christchurch community health projects and is in true Rotary “service above self” traditions. It is felt that projects of this nature make Rotarians far from Victorian in their attitude.”]
