No bidder at sale
A development site of just! over five hectares off Takahe Drive in Cashmere was passed in at auction when no bidder .appeared at the sale. The land, zoned residential, was offered for sale by the receiver for Christchurch Developments, Ltd, Mr K. J. Jensen. “I am surprised at the lack of response. It should have been known that a realistic reserve would have been set,” said Mr Jensen. The first buyer to offer $65,000 (the reserve price) would acquire the propertv, he said. A development plan for the site shows it divided into five lots of just , over two acres each. ‘‘ln normal times people, would have been queuing fori a chance at the property,”! said the auctioneer, Mr C. M. Robertson.
