Literary society
A new literary society at Canterbury University gave readings from plays by the Irish poet and playwright, W. B. Yeats, at its first meeting recently.
The group of about 20 persons has called itself the Word Players. It gave last< evening what the spokesman for the group, Mrs C. Hart, described as a moving, masked performance of part of “The Suchulain Cycle.” About 40 attended the reading. Admission to readings would be free. Readings weuld be held whenever the group decided to get together, Mrs Hart said.
