Twist to tale of the shirt

PA Dunedin The Auckland delegation to the Municipal Assocation’s conference in Dcinedin took pity on their Mayor, Sir Dove-Myer Robinson, and had a “whip-round” to buy him a shirt. They presented him with the shirt after the “Otago Daily Times” printed a photograph of a topless Sir Dove-Myer baring his chest in Dunedin’s sunshine on Wednesday. But there is an ironic twist to the story as “Robbie” confessed. The shirt was the wrong size, and being a man who knows a bargain when he sees one, he took it back to the retailer to exchange for the correct size. Bat that cost him an extra $3.
