St John men honoured
Two Christchurch men are among those who have received appointments to the Order of St John in a list announced by the GovernorGeneral (Sir Keith Holyoake). Mr J. Abrams, of Linwood, and Dr J. W. Ardagh, of Merivale, have been appointed officers of the order in recognition of a total of 67 years of service to the St John Ambulance Association.
