Theft Of Money
More than £2OO was stolen from the Papanui Service Station, 29 Main North road, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Most of the money has been recovered and some children have been questioned by detectives. The Hornby Working Men's Club was broken into on Friday night and 17.000 cigarettes, valued at £lOl, were stolen. i
A wallet containing cash and cheques to the value of £69, was stolen from a coat in a house in Riccarton road on Saturday. Property valued at £l4 was stolen from a car parked near the Winter Garden between 5.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday.
