"Disappointing Results"

The results of the street appeal and stall held by the Adult Cerebral Palsy Society last Friday were “rather disappointing,” said the secretary of the society (Mrs C. G. Crawford) last evening. The appeal raised about £362, the stall £B9. The society hopes to establish a short-stay home for adult cerebral palsy sufferers, and. in conjunction with the Health Department and the Disabled Servicemen's Reestablishment League, to help patients from the Templeton Hospital and Training Centre to enter into full civilian life.

The society wished to thank persons who had acted as collectors for the appeal, Mrs Crawford said: also the growers, particularly in the MarshI land road area, who had been most generous in supplying ‘produce for the stall.
