Representation Of Y.F.C.
Young farmers should l| represented on every distri t production committee, Mr G. B. Robertson said at a meeting of the Canterbury council of the New Zealant Federation of Young FarmerC Clubs yesterday. Mr Robertson said ft was vital that young farmers be represented on local committees and offer their assistance to prodution drives. “If there is going to be any production surge, it will come from young farmers,” he said. Mr R. Sinclair, the Dominion president, said there was not a great deal of acceptance of young farmers’ clubs on various committees. Federated Farmers valued Y.F.C. interest, but the local level was the crucial area. The chairman (Mr R. D. Dodson) said that the Y.F.C. ! could offer much active participation. ' The council adopted a I recommendation that dele- ■ gates be offered to production committees where there is no 'Y.F.C, representation.
