KEYS CUP MATCHES
The opening matches in the C. E. Keys Cup (this year played by the top four clubs from the reserve and second divisions) proved the superiority of the reserve teams. Second division clubs were beaten in all three games, although New Brighton, the second division champion, will play its opening match against Shirley-Nomads later.

In the competition between the bottom four clubs from the reserve division and the bottom two from the second division, the results were: H. 5.0.8. beat Riccarton. by default; Rangers 4. Shamrock 3; Wanderers 4, Waterside 0.
