QUALITY OF MASONRY
Explanation Of Report A report to the Waimairi County Council on the quality of masonry veneer dwelling units, published in “The Press” yesterday, did not refer to concrete masonry. The general manager of Vibrapac Blocks, Ltd. (Mr J. A. McNulty) said yesterday that his company had been assured by the council's senior building inspector (Mr R. R. Robertson) that no complaints had been received about the quality of its concrete masonry units. “Manufacture of these units is controlled in accordance with a standard specification designed solely for concrete masonry and the council has assured us that our products come within these standards,” I said Mr McNulty.
