REFUSED TO PAY FINE
Paisley Under Arrest (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BELFAST, July 22. The Rev. lan Paisley, the anti-Roman Catholic clergyman convicted on Tuesday of unlawful assembly, was arrested at his home on Wednesday night for refusing to pay a fine and deposit money for a peace bond. Mr Paisley, head of the “Free Presbyterian Church of Northern Ireland,” had announced to his followers that he would rather go to gaol than pay the fines and bond money.
