Restriction, an English horse bred in 1959, will arrive in Auckland next month to join Macquario at the re-cently-established Te Kowhai Stud, near Hamilton. The proprietor of the Te Kowhai Stud, Mr H. W. S. Faulks, has leased Restriction from a New South Wales studmaster, Mr J. Turner-Mann. Restriction is by Princely Gift from Out Of Bounds, by Persian Gulf from Sea Parrot, which traces through Precious Polly to the famous Pretty Polly.
Restriction is a threequarter blood brother to the successful South Australian speed sire, Romantic (Princely Gift-Sea Parrot) whose stock were in such demand at this year's Adelaide yearling sales. The oldest of Restriction’s stock are weanlings.
