Hurdles Start Likely

My Filou, a dual acceptor at the South Canterbury Hunt Club's meeting at Washdyke on Monday, is likely to start in the Hadlow Hack Hurdles rather than the Teschemaker Steeplechase, There was little fast work at Wingatui yesterday. One of the best gallops was recorded by Sierra Gold (B. P. Kennedy), which galloped five furlongs on the plough in Imin ssec, the last three furlongs in the smart time of 39sec.
The Llanstephan gelding was accompanied by his stablemate. Skinfull (G. Mee). Lucymai (G. Mee) and Sweet Nell (B. P. Kennedy), also engaged in the Pentlow Mile, took Imin 7sec for the distance, the opening two furlongs in 26 3-ssec.
