Warfare, the winner of 14 of her 52 starts, has been retired from racing and will be mated with an imported ■tallion in the spring. Trained throughout her career by D. P. Wilson for her Southland owner-breeder, Mr W. D. McKenzie, Warfare proved herself a top-flight sprinter, numbering among her 10 open-class races, five at Wingatui and three at Riccarton.

At Riccarton the War Game-Farrago mare won the Amuri, Windsor Castle and Waltham Handicaps.
