TWO GAMES ON SUNDAY
League Side Makes Debut
The Canterbury Ex-Tourna-ment Rugby League Association will make its debut on the playing field with two matches at the Show Grounds on Sunday. The opposition will be the Canterbuiy senior reserve team, which is to play West Coast on Saturday week, and the Ex-Kiwis, who will be attempting to win their third match in as many attempts this season. The Ex-Tournament teams will be drawn from players who have attended national under-15 tournaments, irrespective of which province they represented. Several prominent former Canterbury representatives, including W. R. Campbell, G. J. Abercrombie, P. J. Tongue and R. Raistrick, are expected to play but some of the interest has been taken from the game because of the ruling that members of the Canterbury team which will play West Coast at the Show Grounds on July 30 have been barred from playing.
