More than 400 Brazilian soccer fans, among them several millionaires, sat stunned as they watched their idols swept out of the World Cup competition.
They had watched, on television, aboard a ship in a French port, Brazil beaten by Hungary. So confident had they been that their team would reach the finals that they did not bother to sail direct to England for the early rounds. Instead, they chose to charter a luxury ship for a leisurely world cruise, planning to arrive in England for the quarterfinals on Saturday.
