NEW COMMANDER.—Commander L. M. Johnson, who will assume command of the United States Navy base at Christchurch Airport on August 3, is shown on his arrival in Christchurch by air yesterday with his wife and daughter. He will succeed Commander W. H. Withrow, who will return to the United States soon.
