Council Gets £11,500 Grant
The Waimairi County Coun- - cil has been granted £11,500 - from the Golden Kiwi lottery fund towards the cost of building a Fendalton Community Centre on part of the Fendalton School grounds. The community centre will cost £47,000, and a grant of £4OOO has already been re-
ceived from the Education * Department. The Council will provide the remaining £31,500. ; . Fendalton School will use •» the community centre during Z the day. Its facilities will include a library, hall, nursery, play centre and amenities. The council is at present negotiating to buy the school land. - Tenders will be called within the next two months, and building is expected to I start within a year.
