LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
<1) Letters sent to the Editor for printing should preferably be typed, otherwise they must be written tn ink on one side of the paper only. A legible signature and full address are required whether these are to be published or not. APO box number Is not a sufficient address.
<2) Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sen! to other papers. <3) The Editor cannot return or Keep any letter which for any reason is unsuitable for printing: nor can he ac Knowledge unsuitable letters although this will be done where it seems to be needful. or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be of more than 150 words.

Realist.—As we have pointed out to other correspondents, stock exchanges react most sharply to uncertainty: and they have slumped under the threat of war as well as under the "threat of peace.” J.C.L.—The district manager of the N.Z.B.C. (Mr K. M. Hay) said that the Lions’ Wednesday games are not being telecast but are being filmed. Highlights from the games are shown either In "Sports Magazine” on Fridays or in "Grandstand” on Mondays in the areas in which the games are played or elsewhere when there is a high degree of public interest.
