PIGGOTT’S FEAT

The British champion jockey, L. Piggott won on all his five mounts at the evening race meeting at Leicester on Tuesday. Piggott's winners were Bloody Mary, Hi-Yu, Old Frame, Parthian Shot and Chestergate. He did not ride in the other race. By a coincidence the last occasion on which Piggott rode five winners at one meeting it was also July 19. That was at Pontefract in 1963.
