Student Assn. Elections
The presidency of the Univensity of Canterbury Students’ Association will be contested on August 1 by the present vice-president, Mr P. Harper, a senior law student, and Mr N. B. Bullock, a senior science and arts student. Nominations closed at 5 pun. on Monday. Miss J. Clarke was the only nomination for the position of secretary and Mt P. G. Nathan for the treasurership and have been declared elected. The returning officer (Mr J. D. Daysh) said election addresses would be made by the candidates at both the dty campus and at Ham. Photographs and biographical stories would be published in the student newspaper, "Cante.''
