I A suggestion that the £2l million offered <by the | National Roads Board towards the capital cost of the Auckland harbour bridge extensions should be used instead to repay loan charges on the; extensions was rejected by I the Auckland Regional Authority tonight. Several members said that the authority should await a Government decision on pro-; posals made earlier this year! —and now before a commit-1 tee of senior Government! ; officials —that the National' ißoads Board take over the; 'bridge and later make it toll!free.
