i Timaru Boys' High School I was superior to St. Andrew's College at both Rugby ; and soccer at St. Andrew's ; College yesterday. , More vigour in the forwards was the main reason for Timaru Boys' High School's 16-9 win at Rugby. Although St. Andrew’s held a territorial advantage for long periods, it lacked a goal-klcker and could provide no counter to the surging rushes of the Timaru forwards. It was some time before Timaru could capitalise as the defence of Dowling and P. Docherty was -first-class. The Timaru defence was magnificent, with G. Woolstencroft. I. Eason, W. Bailtie and J. Guthrie, prominent. Ward, who showed good ball sense, and G.i Hogg stood out in the Timaru attack.
