INCOME TAX CLAIM
Sammy Davis Contesting (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON July 19. The entertainer, Mr Sammy Davis, jnr., is contesting a Federal income tax claim for 227,483 dollars. He has asked a Federal Court to reverse the Tax Department’s finding that he owes them more than 200,000 dollars, which he claimed as business expenses since 1956, including money spent on hotels, meals, gifts, costumes, a valet and a bodyguard.
