VALUABLE CORGIS

Two To Go To U.S. Soon Two valuable Corgi dogs will be flown to the United States from Christchurch on Friday. They are owned by Mr I. Stevens, of Middletown, Ohio, who recently returned home after duty with the United States Antarctic support force in Christchurch. Mr Stevens arranged to have the dogs sent to him at a cost of more than £7O. He bought them while in Christchurch. Both dogs are well-bred pedigree animals. The bitch (Wild Rose of Bronwellyn) is aged about a year and the dog (Philadene the Major) about 18 months. A Christchurch man, Mr T. D. Findlay, who bred the dog, said Mr Stevens would use the dogs for breeding. A good eight-week-old puppy was worth between 25 and 30gns in New Zealand. In the United States a good pup could bring as much as 300 dollars. USE the advertisements In ■'The Press” to plan your buy. ing. They will save you many hours of Shopping Time
