Lancaster Park

Sir, —Christchurch citizens, Rugby spectators, and television viewers should all applaud the Victory Park Board on its policy of no hoardings at Lancaster Park. The back-drop to the games in other towns and cities is unsightly with all the advertisements for food, liquor, tobacco, etc. Long may our park be free from hoardings, and thanks to a non-mercen-ary board.—Yours, etc., SUMNER. July 18, 1966.
