MERIVALE-FAPANUI 11: W. Me Laughlan, D. Wynne tries: M. Culbane a conversion; C. Johnson a dropped goal. TEACHERS’ COLLEGE 6: J. Taylor two penalty goads. Teachers’ College made a brave attempt to mark its first senior game with a win. but the experience and staying power of Merivale-Papanul carried the day. Teachers' College took time to settle down and MerivalePapanul pressed home its advantage to lead, 11-0 at halftime. In the second half Teachers' College produced a stronger effort, but the wellknit defence of the combined s>:de limited the scoring to two penalty goals. Referee: Mr A. G. Duckman ton.
