The appointees will be required to undertake teaching and research, supervision at honours and post-graduate levels in Geography and to collaborate with work being done in the Faculties of Architecture and Economics and Commerce. DEMONSTRATOR IN GEOGRAPHY Candidates should possess an honours degree or its equivalent. The appointee will be required to assist in the management of the Department's practical, tutorial and field work and the appointment is open to applicants whose interests lie in either Human or Physical Geography. Although not primarily a research appointment, the apopintee will be given every opportunity to conduct research towards a higher degree in his chosen field. The new Department of Geography occupies its own building on the campus and is fully equipped with teaching and research laboratories at all levels of instruction and has a wide range of equipment and excellent research potential. The Department has particular interests in advancing the field of Applied Geography. The current salary ranges are $A6500/220/7600 p.a. for Senior Lecturer; SA4BOO/220/6340 pa. for Lecturer and 3A3100/110/3540 for Demonstrator. Superannuation will be similar to F.S.S.U. in aM cases.
