Withdrawal Increase
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 14. Although during the year deposits to all types of accounts increased by £600,000 to £253.9 million, withdrawals maintained a high level, according to the annual report of the Post Office, tabled in Parliament today. The report said that withdrawals increased by £9.6 million to £259.4 million. Interest credited to depositors during the year amounted to £l3 million compared with £12.7 million last year.
