Brothers In Soccer XI
Two brothers, Neil and Stuart McAlpine, are included in the Canterbury under-20 soccer team to play Otago under-20 in the first leg of the Ruddiman Cup fixture at Dunedin on July 23. The team, announced last evening by the sole selector (Mr G. Spiers), is: J. Burdis (Wanderers); G. Davis (Brighton), N. McAlpine (H. 5.0.8. T. Reilly (Shamrock), D. Almond (Western), A. Cameron (Technical): W. Penman (Rangers), K. Pahi (Christchurch City), A. Caine (Brighton), S. McAlpine (H. 5.0.8. G. Spiers (Brighton). Reserve: G. Taylor (Brighton).
