Search For Man

(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, July 13. Police and civilian search parties dragged the Whangaehu river 10 miles south of Wanganui, today in an unsuccessful search for a missing farm gardener. He is George Bassett Hainsworth, aged 53, married. Mr Hainsworth was last seen about 7.30 a.m. on the riverbank near the homestead of his employer, Mr J. Polson, of Mangamahu. Search parties were hampered by floodwater.
