Scales Wanted In Saleyards
A move to have scales for weighing cattle installed at the Addington and Temuka saleyards is being made by the Mid-Canterbury branch of Federated Farmers. The meat and wool executive of North Canterbury Federated Farmers yesterday received a letter from MidCanterbury asking for its support for the move. Selling cattle by weight was probably a coming trend, said
the chairman (Mr W. N. Dunlop). At his suggestion, the meeting decided to ask MidCanterbury to elaborate its views.
