INTERNATIONAL CLUB BALL
Proceeds To Help Operation 21
A ball, to be held by the International Club of the University of Canterbury, will help to raise funds for Operation 21 in Christchurch. The ball, at the Brevet Club on Wednesday, July 20, will be open to the public as well as to students.
Operation 21 is New Zealand’s part in a world-wide programme to help youth fight hunger, and is under the guidance of the Food and Agricultural Organisation.
The International Club aims to promote understanding between overseas students and New Zealand students. Half its members are New Zealanders and half visiting students. Tickets for the ball, costing two guineas, are on sale at Hay’s booking office and at other city stores.
